Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (718) 357-3737. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, caferusticony.com.
Customers rate it 4.6 out of 5 on Google across 150 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Whitestone.
Whitestone is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Whitestone follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Caffe Rustico 7-26 149th st Whitestone NY 11357 Caffe Rustico Pizzaria / restaurant does everything right! The key is the sauce. I'm not sure if Nonna is in the back or what but that sauce is incredible! This is mainly a neighborhood -to go -delivery situation- though it does have Here are my personal favorites... the mushroom pizza, the shrimp parm hero, the arugula salad with grilled chicken, the chicken parm dinner with rigatoni garlic, oil & broccoli, the sweet sausage, wow guys, delicious! My family fav is the Pasta Fagioli, such a perfect blend of pasta, beans & secret Rustico flavors. Caffe Rustico is tucked deep in Whitestone Queens, on the way to Malba- very close to the Whitestone Bridge. The owner has always been very cool, always a gentleman & accommodating. Parking is never an issue, it's a very nice residential neighborhood. I absolutely recommend Caffe Rustico of Whitestone Queens!

I absolutely adore this place and went every week. I've since moved out west (where there isn't any good pizza ☹️), so Caffe Rustico is my first stop. The pizza is great, Vinny is awesome and SO friendly, putting a fabulous personal touch on the service. When I still lived here, my dad came out to visit, and he said it was the best slice he's ever had (I should make him write a review too). I wish there was a joint like this out in Idaho, but I'm certainly grateful for them when I get to visit!

Café Rustico is a brick oven NY old school style pizzeria. It's not the new wave hybrid stuff you're seeing that's popping up all over the place in the pizza world. It is a quintessential NY old school style, thin very crispy crust and flavorful sauce. The owner Vinny is a gentleman and a very pleasant person. I am real born and raised trueyorker (New Yorker) who has been eating pizza all over my city for over 40+ years from Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan... And I can tell you that if you enjoy or never had the traditional old school style pizza in NY then definitely get over to this place and give it a try. They do offer some traditional Italian pasta dishes in which; I myself have never tried but, what I have been told from a few people in the pizza group in which I belong to is that the food is good from the chicken cutlet Parm heros to the dishes... Enjoy and blessings to all.
